Aimbridge Hospitality is a recognized hospitality management leader throughout the Caribbean. “We are proud to have opened our third luxury Jewel resort property in Jamaica, and we continually strive to raise the bar of our guest experience on an island that is recognized for its warm and genuine hospitality and exceptional service levels,” said Rich Cortese, senior vice president Caribbean operations and development for Aimbridge Hospitality.

A richly inclusive resort, Jewel Paradise Cove Beach Resort Spa is the first Jewel property to introduce the expanded all-inclusive health, spa and fitness theme, and includes juice and smoothie bars throughout the property, a variety of healthy cuisine options and an extensive list of watersports and most activities included in the pricing. A new addition to the resort is the oceanfront Radiant Spa, the Jewel branded spa concept, acclaimed for its specialty spa treatments such as the in-ocean two therapist massage (spa treatments additional excluding introductory package). Adding to its appeal, Jewel Paradise Cove rate includes Scuba Diving Resort Course, Sunset Cruise, Dunn’s River Falls Tour, Shopping Tour with trip to Margaritaville, and much more – all standard in its all-inclusive rate!

Jamaica’s Jewel Runaway Bay Beach Golf Resort was the recent home to the island’s two millionth stopover guest this year.  Newlyweds from Newton, Massachusetts, Mr. and Mrs. Alexis and Craig Greiner, who arrived on American Airlines into Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, Jamaica, were welcomed to the resort with true island hospitality, and general manager Scott Robbins warmly greeted the couple who has helped to make Jamaican history.

“I and all the staff here at Jewel Runaway Bay were very excited to take part in making Jamaican history, and we were also extremely proud that the Greiners chose our destination all-inclusive resort for their honeymoon,” stated Scott Robbins. While relaxation, exploration and total “unplugging” was on the agenda for the newlyweds at Jewel Runaway Bay, the exclusive resort added in some extra special amenities such as a butler serviced oceanfront suite, a romantic couples massage for two at the resort’s Radiant spa, champagne and a complimentary stay for the Greiners to return next year.

And to continue to add brilliance to the Jewel gem of a resort portfolio, Jewel’s flagship resort, The Jewel Dunn’s River Beach Resort Spa was awarded two prestigious Trip Advisor Awards, the Certificate of Excellence and the Traveler’s Choice Award for All-Inclusive Resorts. General manager Carol Bourke of Jewel Resorts again accepted the awards for her property, and her motto for her and all the Jewel staff is to make each and every guest a VIP at all times during their stay.

New All Organic Day Spa Opening Saturday in Cedar City

slideshow

(CEDAR CITY, Utah) – Specializing in offering an organic experience in hair and massage, Mistic Day Spa will have a grand opening to the public Saturday filled with free food, prizes and discounts from noon to 3 p.m.

“Massage is not a luxury,” said massage therapist Monique Davis. “It is a necessity for balanced wellbeing.”

With that in mind, Davis said the prices at Mistic Day Spa are much lower than what she said the typical “trendy-type” spa would charge, because the focus is on overall care and wellbeing, not on getting rich.

Davis said that the low prices are not a reflection of lack of experience, or quality of workmanship. She said she has been a licensed massage therapist for nearly 18 years, and cannot stand to turn a client away, because they cannot afford a treatment. She said she knows how vital massage therapy is for overall health.

Spa owner Bobbi Kimball said she decided to open the spa, because she was having trouble losing some extra weight after having a child. She said she had heard that sauna’s help people to lose weight and thought to herself, everyone should have an opportunity to lose weight naturally with the help of a sauna.

Kimball said sauna’s help with more than just weight loss, and it would be nice to be able to offer her family a chance to feel better while she was working on her own issue.

“My brother works hard,” she said. “He’s sore and achy and it helps with your joints.

“Then I got thinking, I should start a business for everybody out there to come and use it,” she said.

She said the use of wholly organic products was not her first idea, but she had always wondered what all of the chemicals women use to treat their hair do to damage their skin and hair.

After teaming up with Davis who already knew a lot about the importance of using organic products, Kimball said the choice to go organic just came naturally.

Davis said she had to do quite a bit of research to find a good organic product line to carry, but finally settled on Organic. She said that they are 100 percent certified organic and offer a variety of hair products that are chemical free, including hair color and perms.

“Beautifying is not a new ritual,” Davis said. “It has been happening forever, long before the modern age of chemicals that we have grown accustomed to.”

In addition, Davis said the spa would carry only all organic products such as Solavedi and Odda Oils for each treatment they offer. Treating the person as a whole person instead of just bits and pieces is important, she said.

“The skin is the largest organ on our bodies,” Davis said. “Why shouldn’t we be as concerned with what we cover our bodies in as we are about the foods we consume?

“That way of thinking just doesn’t make any sense to me,” she added.

Mistic Day Spa will open Saturday at noon, and guests who come in for a treatment will get a discount off any second service they receive. Additionally there will be free food, and a variety of prizes given away throughout the day by DJ Johnny Utah.

Kimball said that Stone Haven Bridal Hall donated a $600 package to be given away at the opening. She said they had Eagle Point ski lift tickets and T-shirts from Cherry Creek Radio, and many other prizes to be given out during the opening.

Bellarine Day Spa Soothes Body and Soul with Relaxation and Deep Tissue …

VICTORIA, Australia September 2013 – In the fast paced world of today, most people go to massage spas to escape from the hustle and bustle of their daily life and get back in touch with their inner self. The owner and staff of Bellarine day spa, The Lotus Spa at Barwon Heads, understand this need for downtime and offer services that allow their customers to relax and be pampered, ready for another go at life and all of its challenges.

Lyndal McKechnie, Spa Proprietor and Manager of the Bellarine massage spa says, “Even in the shortest time spent with us at Lotus, we hope that everyone leaves with a little piece of our calm energy. In the Ayurvedic tradition, it is believed that after a treatment you should not go straight out into the outside world as it will undo the work that has just been done, but continue to rest to let the body process and rebalance. So we welcome all our clients to sit and have some herbal tea or even do a meditation after their treatments to nurture this seed of calm.” www.lotusspabarwonheads.com.au/

The Lotus Spa at Barwon Heads offers two types of massages:

  1. Deep Tissue or Remedial Massage; and
  2. Relaxation Massage.

The Deep Tissue or Remedial Massage allows the Bellarine massage therapists to work differently as they blend relaxation methods, and even reiki healing, with deep remedial techniques. The highly qualified and intuitive practitioners at The Lotus Spa at Barwon Heads help many people not only relax but also balance out painful body imbalances.  Their care even extends to  referring clients to other health and wellbeing practitioners for holistic wellbeing advice.

The physical movements of a relaxation massage clear away all the tension and stress in the mind and body, allowing everyone who has this type of massage to feel that they can face life with renewed enthusiasm and comfort.

Clients who have experienced the wonderful benefits of the relaxation massage are very satisfied with their results. Jo says, “Oh so special, so delightful. Magic Hands!” Andrew Percy says, “Taken away to a blissful place and brought back to see the world as it really is- blissful as well.” And Deb Hallmark says, “All I ask is – Why don’t I do this more often?! Great Massage.”

This Bellarine day spa is home to a number of exceptional massage therapists as Lyndal has a very high standard of professionalism with all staff having natural, intuitive touch, along with regular, ongoing training to ensure they offer clients the very best in traditional and emerging treatments. The Bellarine massage spa has a significant amount of people comment on how ‘out of body’ they felt during the experience, which is what happens when people are fully relaxed.

Growing Numbers Taking Advantage of Unique Health & Wellness Marketplace …

Health care is the only major sector of our economy where consumers typically do not make decisions based on comparison shopping, says a study from the National Center for Policy Awareness.

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) August 05, 2013

A little over one year after launching its one-of-a-kind healthcare discount site, DealWell.com has had more than 85,000 visits as consumers are getting savvy about personal healthcare spending and working to take control of their budgets. DealWell lets customers view and compare prices for health and wellness services, bid for deals and read reviews.

The National Center for Policy Analysis (NCPA) recently released a study that finds, “Every day, millions of American consumers go shopping. In the process, they compare the prices and quality of goods and services ranging from groceries to cellular telephone service to fast food to housing. But that daily ritual changes when it comes to comparing prices for medical care. Health care is the only major sector of our economy where consumers typically do not make decisions based on comparison shopping.”

DealWell is the first site devoted singularly to changing that. With more than 900 offers from 200 top North Texas health and wellness providers, DealWell helps Dallas-Fort Worth residents save time and money when shopping for services commonly used with heath savings accounts or family saving accounts, including dental cleanings and braces, eye exams and even MRIs and CT Scans. DealWell also has offers on wellness, beauty and pampering services that even the best insurance doesn’t cover such as teeth whitening, massage, spa packages and med spa services for things like facial and skin treatments, Botox and laser hair removal.

The NCPA’s study found that for healthcare services where consumers typically haven’t had the tools to compare prices and shop for a better deal, patient out-of-pocket costs increased an average of 118 percent. During the same period, the cost of cosmetic surgery – usually paid directly by the consumer, and thus more regularly subject to market forces like price transparency and price competition – has only gone up 30 percent.

DealWell has strongly positioned itself to help encourage consumers to take control of their own healthcare spending. DealWell empowers consumers with information and choices by allowing them to compare prices and deals with just a few clicks, 24/7/365. Every offer on DealWell has a ‘Buy Now’ price, and the ability to bid for even more savings. The bid feature brings the market forces of supply and demand into play, allowing providers to lower prices during slow periods – and allowing savvy consumers to benefit.

“[DealWell] has the daily deal site set up, but with a twist,” says Xtreme Qpon blogger, Angela Christopher. “The neatest part is that you get to bid for your price…there is no charge for bidding. You search by your ZIP Code, find a deal you want in their categories and there is a price set. If you don’t like that price…bid for a lower one. You will get an immediate answer if your bid was accepted.”

“There are a hundred things broken with the healthcare system in America,” says DealWell President and Co-Founder Geoffrey Fischer. “We saw this huge gap and started DealWell to bring a private-sector solution to one of these areas of a critical public-sector crisis. And we’ve been thrilled with how quickly both consumers and providers have embraced our approach.”

About DealWell.com

The first website that allows consumers to compare, bid and save on health and wellness services, DealWell has more than 900 offers from 200 providers across the Metroplex, in nine major categories: chiropractic, cosmetic surgery, dental, eye exams and LASIK, hormone therapy, massage, medical imaging, medical spa and day spa, and weight loss management. DealWell negotiates discounts of at least 20 percent off retail price, and every offer has a “Buy Now” price and the ability to bid for even more savings. Unlike “daily deals” sites, offers on DealWell are available 24/7/365, and for every service consumers have a broad choice of providers. Purchases made on DealWell may be eligible for reimbursement from FSA/HSA plans or applicable to insurance deductibles, if the service is covered by the plan. Consumers are urged to check with their plan administrators for details.

DoubleOwl.com’s Newest Feature: Massage Therapist and Day Spa Listing at …

DoubleOwl.com is bridging the gap in the day spa community and is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness throughout the bay area.

Fremont, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2013

DoubleOwl.com is growing and inviting customers to try new massages at affordable prices at an affiliated spa near them. In addition to their increasing clientele, DoubleOwl welcomes professional massage therapists and day spas from all over the bay area. Unlike other directory websites, however, DoubleOwl will list these massage therapists and day spas at no charge. With the intent on building relationships throughout the day spa community, and bridging the gap between massage therapists, day spas, and loyal day spa customers, DoubleOwl vows to list willing day spas and massage therapists at no charge. This unique proposition benefits more than just DoubleOwl.

A massage therapist can affiliate with DoubleOwl and create their own personal profile on the DoubleOwl.com website at no cost to them, which helps them expand their own personal clientele, gain loyal customers, enhance their massage techniques, and increase their experience in the day spa industry. Massage therapists will find that their business will grow exponentially from the first day they sign up with DoubleOwl.

Similarly, the day spas that affiliate with DoubleOwl for free will begin to see their empty rooms occupied, and their clientele list increase. The massage therapists at these day spas also have the opportunity to sign up on DoubleOwl at no cost to them in order to gain more experience. Day spas will not regret affiliating with DoubleOwl and becoming connected with a wide range of massage therapists, day spa customers, and other day spas across the bay area.

This is only the newest feature to come out of the DoubleOwl website. DoubleOwl.com is bridging the gap in the day spa community and is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness throughout the bay area.

Jersey City man charged with groping woman client during massage at day spa – The Jersey Journal

Jeffery Moore appears in CJP court in Jersey City yesterday.

A Jersey City man was charged with criminal sexual contact after a client said he groped her breast during a massage at a Jersey City spa, police said.

Jeffery Moore, 49, of Jersey City, made his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing court in Jersey City yesterday afternoon on a single charge of criminal sexual contact.

According to a criminal complaint, Moore, a massage therapist at Club Aqua, a day spa at The Beacon housing development on Montgomery Street, was giving a massage to a woman on May 4, when he allegedly fondled the woman’s breast.

The woman reported it to police at the East District, officials said.

Moore’s bail was to be set at a later date, but he was told not to have any contact with the victim in the case.

A manager at Club Aqua was not immediately available to comment, but an employee at the spa told The Jersey Journal that Moore “was no longer with” the day spa.

  • Place for pampering: Located in a house at 14 Laffan Street, the Asian-styled Tai Homespa offers a variety of massage and beauty treatments, including aroma stone massage

  • Hot stone massage: Asian-styled Tai Homespa offers a variety of massage and beauty treatments, including aroma stone massage

Pampering, privacy and peace are the first aims of many spas. Tai Homespa can tick that box — tucked away in a Hamilton neighbourhood, and offering traditional Asian treatments including Thai and Balinese massages.

The spa opened its doors this past December 1 for a ‘soft’ launch, but plans an official opening next Thursday when Former Premier Sir John Swan will cut the ribbon.

Located in a house at 14 Laffan Street, the Asian-styled emporium of beauty and soothing treatments is managed by Bhola Bhattarai, who was with Willow Stream Spa for more than three years before the opening Tai Homespa.

The Nepalese-born masseuse and acupuncturist had worked for Saudi royalty and hotels throughout the Middle East before coming to Bermuda.

The exotic Tai Homespa is primarily aimed at Bermuda residents.

“We are trying to attract some tourists, but it is handy for those who work in town — you can come here during a break.

“We have parking and privacy,” he said.

“And we have some unique treatments, including a four-hands massage.

“This is popular. Our signature massage is an Asian Blend massage, which is a combination of Thai, Chinese and Indonesian techniques.”

As well as massage, the spa offers an array of facials and body care treatments, as well as packages which can fill a day with relaxation and beauty.

They also offer manicures and pedicures, as well as eye lash tinting and hair removal.

The spa also features their own branded line of products, all of which are made in Thailand. “They are pure, they are organic,” he said. “We have had very good feedback about our products.”

The prices range from $20 for eyelash or eyebrow tinting to $249 for a 90 minute four-hands massage.

Or you can have a Cleopatra Milk Bath for $39. A deep tissue massage will cost $99, while a 30 minute refresher facial costs $59.

The spa is currently offering pre-grand opening specials including manicures and pedicures from $55 up.

The company’s website says its Tai brand is “the first of its kind in Bermuda manufactured in Thailand using a custom blend of herbs and secret ingredients and presented in wash, exfoliating cleansers, purifying mask, foundation creams and vitamin packed lotions.

“Our experienced staff shall advise which treatment and skin product maybe best suited for your skin type and desired result.”

For more information contact Tai Homespa at 297-2347, or e-mail at info@taihomespa.bm, or on the web at address www.taihomespa.bm.
