PHOTOS Kim Richards and new boyfriend at Race to Erase MS Gala?

Does Kim Richards have a new boyfriend?

Last night was the 19th Annual Race to Erase MS gala held at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles and among the many celebrities turning out to show their support was The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards – with a mystery man!

Kim Richards with new boyfriend and sister Kathy HIlton and Richard hilton

Kim posed for a few photos with her tall, darkly tanned stranger (along with sister Kathy Hilton and her husband Richard Hilton above), but none of the photo services were able to get a name. So all we know about this new feller, aside from his obvious affinity for UV rays, is he appears to be a little younger than Kim and a lot more – ummmm – television friendly than her former romantic endeavor, Ken Blumenfeld.

Kim Richards and boyfriend at Race to Erase MS gala

IF this is Kim’s new man, then I’m sure we will all get to meet him (much as we did Ken in Season 2) as Bravo is currently filming the third season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills right now. (If anyone knows anything about Kim’s mystery date and/or what his relationship to Kim is, drop us a line at starcasmtips at yahoo.com!)

And speaking of RHOBH Season 3, according to numerous reports Kim is doing much better with her sobriety and the one with the really bad alcohol problem now is Taylor Armstrong. After reportedly getting a bit sloshed at Kyle Richards’ four-year-old daughter’s birthday party (at which Taylor’s daughter Kennedy was present), Taylor then got Hasselhoff cheeseburger wasted at a spa weekend in Ojai, California.

“Taylor was wasted from the moment she appeared in the morning until the moment she collapsed at night,” a source tells Radar Online. “It was a horrific sight to see. She totally lost control of her emotions and her temper. She is an absolute complete mess, but she refuses to acknowledge that she has a problem.”

“Taylor’s drinking is out-of-control,” another source says. “She doesn’t have just 10 drinks, she has like 30 or 40 and she’s a mess. Over the trip Taylor would say the nastiest things to everyone. As soon as she had a drop of alcohol she would start spewing hateful things, it shocked everybody.”

“She isn’t as relevant as she was and she is desperate to stay on the show but the things she says are outrageous and they’re making everyone furious. She caused major drama all weekend. The fights were non-stop, and she was a mess.”

Yet another source (How many people were there at this spa weekend anyway?) adds, “Taylor was all over the place while the cast was shooting at the Ojai Valley Inn. “She would start drinking very, very early in the day. The ladies are all very concerned about her, especially Kyle. They have spoken off camera about their desire for Taylor to stop drinking, but so far, nothing has happened. Taylor had a catastrophic meltdown on camera during the trip that will truly shock viewers when they see it on air this fall.”

There are also reports the cast is trying to arrange an intervention for Taylor.

In other words, more high ratings for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills!

Report: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Stars Worried About Taylor …

First there were reports Taylor Armstrong had an intervention coming, courtesy of her fellow Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  According to Radar Online, Taylor’s friends were concerned about her reportedly excessive drinking habits and the impact that would have on her 5-year-old daughter Kennedy.

According to a new report from Radar Online, things may be even worse than anyone expected. Taylor reportedly spiraled out of control during a spa weekend in Ojai, California, during which she was said to be drinking heavily and acting out, all while the cameras were rolling.

Last night’s Made In Chelsea: Jamie confronts Spencer and Louise, Millie hates …

We were sat on the edge of our seat, waiting to see what would happen with Spencer, Louise and Jamie in this week’s episode of Made In Chelsea. And it didn’t fail to disappoint from the very first minute.

Spencer, Louise and Jamie

As Spencer Matthews and Louise Thompson arrive home from their life-changing trip to Dubai, Jamie Laing is waiting on Louise’s doorstop; ready to confront the pair. Instead of an exchange of holiday souvenirs and duty-free booze, all that’s exchanged is angry words and even angrier looks.

“What happened in Dubai? Did you f***ing sleep together? How could you do this to me? Jamie says.

“You know about my feelings for her. Do you want her to be your girlfriend? Because I want her to be my girlfriend, replies Spencer.

“Are you animals? asks Jamie, as Louise burst into tears. “How could you do this to a friend? You deserve each other.

“I’m glad you’re crying, you should feel my pain right now. You’re weak. You told me you never wanted to hook up with him again, and the first thing you do when you get to Dubai is sleep with him. My best mate in the f***ing world and you’ve broken us apart.â€

To Spencer he adds: “Me and you, that’s it.â€

The next day Louise is avoiding all calls and texts from Spencer. When Millie Mackintosh and Hugo’s ladyfriend Natalie Joel pop over to see her they suggest they head off for a lovely spa weekend.

Spencer meets up with Binky Felstead to explain how ‘he has to be with Louise.’

Jamie talks to Oliver Proudlock and Hugo Taylor about the whole love triangle nightmare.

Hugo isn’t very supportive and tells Jamie ‘he might just have to like it or lump it.’

Nice one, Hugo.

Someone who’s proving to be a lot more supportive to poor old Jamie is Francis Boulle, who turns up at his door with a crate of lager – Francis’ favourite tipple… or not.

Francis tries to help Jamie by telling him that when he’s not sure what to do in a situation, he thinks about what Jesus would do.

“Jesus was like a superhero – he got shit done, Francis explains.

Jesus would forgive Spencer and Louise, but Jamie can’t bring himself to forgive Louise for her part in all of this. And he’s still not crazy about the idea of forgiving Spencer either.

Spencer tells Louise that he wants her to be his girlfriend. She doesn’t seem one hundred percent convinced and tells him she’ll think about it while she’s away on her spa weekend.

Jamie reluctantly agrees to meet up with Spencer.

He wants to find out if Spencer’s serious about Louise or if he just wants to ‘shag her.’

Spencer rattles on about really liking Louise again but it doesn’t help much; Jamie’s still furious.

Louise turns up on Jamie’s Door. She tells him that she can’t control her feelings for Spencer and he makes her ‘feel pretty special.’

Jamie does not love hearing this, as you can imagine.

Louise rings Spencer to tell him she’s come to a decision about their future.

They meet in the same spot where Spencer told Caggie how much he liked her back in the day. Awkward.

Louise says she wants to make a go of it with Spencer

They kiss – blah, blah, blah.

A nice relaxing spa weekend

Mille, Louise, Natalie and her twin Karin are having a great time at the spa when Cheska Hull, Rosie Fortescue and Victoria Baker-Harber turn up and right-royally spoil Millie’s day. God, she hates Rosie.

Cheska, Rosie and Victoria overhear Millie slagging them off. Natalie suggests that having the girls there is a good way of them getting to know everyone better.

“I think I’d rather get to know the bottle of Champagne better, Millie quips.

Rosie and Cheska come over to speak to Millie and it all kicks off.

“The way you spoke about Cheska earlier is revolting, says Rosie.

“You should feel like an idiot because you’re f***ing rude.

The next morning Millie has breakfast with Louise and decides she’s had enough and wants to go home.

Millie gives Rosie, Cheska and Victoria a nice slow hand clap and says, well done for ruining Louise’s weekend. She packs her bags and she’s off.

Richard and Kimberley’s date

Richard Dinan finally gets to go on a date with Kimberley Garner, and what better way to impress a posh, rich girl than to take her on a helicopter ride to a restaurant that’s been hired out by Richie Rich himself.

Cheska meets up with Binky while Richard and Kimberley are off on their date.

Binky’s been informed that her old boss Diego has been in a long-term relationship with Kimberley for quite some time and the couple only split two weeks ago. So Kimberley was definitely with Diego when she went on her dates with Jamie, Spencer and Francis – and God knows who else.

Hurry up Monday – we need to know what’s going on with that naughty little Kimberley.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Don’t Want Taylor Armstrong to Drink During …

“The women have pulled Taylor aside and begged her to stop drinking when the cameras are rolling because of her behavior, which only gets worse when she drinks,” a source reports to Radar Online.

The source also indicates that footage of Taylor during the Ojai spa weekend will shock viewers and that “it will make for great television, but at what cost?”

We can’t help but agree and hope Taylor can get some help, especially since she’s got her adorable five-year-old daughter Kennedy depending on her!

Spencer and Louise’s heady high from their holiday fling in Dubai came crashing down the minute they arrived home, finding a distraught Jamie waiting for them on the doorstep.

In an emotionally charged episode of Made In Chelsea, Jamie confronted the pair following their betrayal.

‘What happened in Dubai? Did you f***ing sleep together? How could you do this to me?’ Jamie demanded, heartbroken after learning his girlfriend had cheated on him with his best friend.

Following the dramatic confrontation, Louise is left upset and unsure of how to deal with Spencer, who is insisting that he still wants to be with her despite it meaning risking his friendship with Jamie.

‘I’m pretty stressed about the whole situation. It’s not in my nature to do something like this,’ she tells Millie and Natalie. ‘This situation has gotten so out of hand. They hate each other now.’

But Millie is miffed when Natalie invites her nemesis Rosie along with Victoria and Cheska.

‘It doesn’t have to be a drama, Natalie says. ‘At least Louise can get to know Cheska and Victoria better.

‘I think I’d rather get to know the bottle of champagne better,’ Millie says, a comment overheard by the other girls.

Mother’s Day: Carmel Valley Ranch, Cal-a-Vie, more escapes for Mom

Ask a hard-pressed mom what she wants forMother’s Dayand she’s apt to say she’d like a break from chores. No cleaning, shopping, cooking, volunteering, driving or organizing. Herewith, a few luxurious getaways where moms will never be asked to do any of the above. (Moms, we suggest you leave this article in a strategic location.)

Carmel Valley Ranch

Carmel Valley Ranch takes great pains to cater to families and adults — separately. Although it is an ideal retreat for families, it is also one of the most serene places to go with friends or partners.

After a $35-million remodel, the 500-acre property reopened in 2010 with 139 suites, a Pete Dye-designed golf course, a 10,000-square-foot spa, two restaurants and a state-of-the-art sports facility.

For those sans families, there is an adults-only swimming pool, hot tub and Spa Aiyana, all of which look out on acres of oak trees, grass and grapevines. With one of the best climates in the U.S. (300 days of sunshine), this is a great place to reboot your exercise regimen or stretch the one you have.

A short shuttle ride below the main lodge is the River Ranch, the club (where children are permitted), with a pool and hot tub, a cafe, a gym, tennis courts, a sports court and boccie ball. There’s even child care here, so you can partake of the complimentary activities such as hilltop yoga.

After a morning at the spa or in the great outdoors and an afternoon tasting vintages from Carmel and Monterey wineries, wander through the gardens to the Lodge Restaurant for fine dining on local, organic food or a tasting in the wine cellar (surrounded by thousands of bottles of excellent vintages). Don’t forget to budget time in its store, one of the hippest resort shops in America.

One Old Ranch Road, Carmel, Calif.; (855) 687-7262, http://www.carmelvalleyranch.com. Doubles from about $410 a night.

Costa Careyes Resort

If you’ve worried about safety in Mexico, Costa Careyes will assuage any doubts. Built by the arty scion of an Italian banking family, it’s a closed community with discreet security protecting the boundaries of the 5,000 acres of untouched jungle and empty beach between Manzanillo and Puerto Vallarta.

Careyes is the ultimate splurge location for girlfriends (or couples if you are benevolent enough to include the spouses). Rent one of the private castles, villas or casitas that dot the coastline and lounge like Riviera glitterati. If you rent a castle (they sleep up to 16), you’ll have a butler serving you margaritas beside your private pool. Castles also come with a housekeeper and a chef, so you never need lift a pinkie or leave the premises. You can even have the spa treatments come to you.

With open-air spaces making the most of the almost perpetually balmy climate, the rooms are lofty and sublimely arty-cool with bright-on-white décor. In the center of the low-density development is a “village” with several restaurants, an outdoor movie screen, an art gallery and shops.

If you’re keen to be at the center of the action (and the budget doesn’t extend to castles), the brightly colored casitas overlook the cerulean sea from a bougainvillea-covered hillside. Alas, no butler and maid with these, but you do have your own kitchen.

The Careyes Polo Field hosts an annual international competition, so if you do choose to come down from your castle you can sip Champagne while mingling with the horsey set. If polo isn’t your thing, check out the monumental artworks and spiritual sanctuaries on the property such as the Copa del Sol, a giant concrete cup from which you can watch the sunset, or the fallen meteorite at the center of a beach-side labyrinth walk.

If lying around all day being waited on sounds dull, you can kayak, snorkel, dive, fish, horseback ride on the beach, play golf or tennis or help out at the Careyes turtle protection program. Alternatively, if you are eager to come home with a new skill, you can remain in your castle and arrange for a cooking class in gourmet Mexican cuisine.

Highway 200, Careyes, Mexico; 011-52-315-3510-320, http://www.careyes.com.mx. Doubles in a casita from $400 a night. Castles from $4,000 a night.

Ranch at Rock Creek

Although it may be hard to persuade your husband or partner to accompany you on a yoga or spa weekend, it shouldn’t be difficult to get him onboard for a trip to the Ranch at Rock Creek in Montana. It’s the ultimate luxurious “camp” for adults (although kids are accepted), and you could spend weeks here and still not do everything.

Set on 6,400 acres of rolling ranch land a 90-minute drive from Missoula, near the old mining town of Philipsburg in western Montana, this place can make you swell with pride at America’s astounding beauty. With accommodations that include lodge suites, stand-alone family houses and riverside tent cabins, there are never more than 80 guests at the ranch.

If it’s romance you want, book Trapper, a remote luxury wood-and-canvas cabin with a private hot tub. The guides are skilled and knowledgeable in their fields, and they’ll have you on an adventure twice a day if you’re up for it. In winter, options include downhill skiing at the nearby family-owned but surprisingly steep Discovery Mountain, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sleigh riding, snowmobiling and sport clay shooting.

Edinburgh gets pampered at Spa in the City

By REBECCA ROOT

Published on Friday 11 May 2012 17:52

This week sees the fifth anniversary of Edinburgh’s Spa in the City event.

To mark the occasion Spa in the City is celebrating vintage beauty for the next month with a vintage-themed weekend on 26th and 27th May in St Andrew’s Square and the Rose Street shopping precinct.

Spa in the City first began in 2008 as an initiative set up by Essential Edinburgh, whose aim is to ensure the city centre excels in all aspects of business and leisure.

Each year the weekend, offering free activities and beauty treatments, encourages more visitors to the city as well as increased industry for the retailers involved.

Essential Scotland said: “With a number of the top retailers involved each year, this free beauty and wellbeing event has proved incredibly popular with women and men throughout Scotland, with hundreds of visitors passing through the gates each year.”

Spa in the City offers the ideal opportunity to showcase Edinburgh’s beauty and fashion industry and they say: “the vintage glamour theme will bring a fresh and exciting element to this year’s weekend.”

Harvey Nichols will offer 1930s style makeovers and Regis, from Jenner’s, will be styling retro hair.

As well as this, a variety of retailers, such as Superdrug and Lush, will offer free massages and facials.

Andy Neal, chief executive of Essential Edinburgh, said: “We’re very much looking forward to welcoming guests to Edinburgh over our Spa weekend and to showcasing the best of the city’s beauty operators at the event.”

More than 15 businesses are contributing to the pamper fest by either providing free services or entertainment.

Zumba classes, cupcake sampling, cocktail making and perfume matching are some of the favourites on offer.

Napolitano talks women in politics, post-election spa needs and cursing [VIDEO]

WASHINGTON — The name Janet Napolitano often conjures up thoughts of TSA screeners and terror plots, but the secretary of Homeland Security reminded a crowd at the liberal Center for American Progress (CAP) on Wednesday that she is still a woman.

Napolitano reflected on her own experiences as a woman in politics and lamented the low percentage of females in public office today.

“We have women in leadership throughout the Department of Homeland Security — it’s really an unusual security department in that regard,” she said at CAP’s Women’s Leadership Series event. “But in terms of political life, not many women are there — particularly as a percentage of population. Not many women are in the Congress, in the Senate, and you have to ask yourself, why?”

According to the DHS head, the major obstacles to women entering elected office are the encroachments on their privacy and their family.

“The real factor was, women didn’t choose to run, and they didn’t choose to run based, in part, because of the impact on their privacy — impact perhaps on their family lives and the like,” Napolitano said.

The agency chief showed her feminine side to the friendly audience, offering details of her past political experiences, including an anecdote about the lengthy amount of time it took her 2002 Republican Arizona gubernatorial opponent, Matt Salmon, to concede as the state counted mail-in ballots.

While waiting for he inevitable, she said, she enjoyed a spa weekend.

“He didn’t concede, and Thursday he didn’t concede. But here was the problem,” she explained. ”The problem was myself and some friends had made reservations to go to a spa the weekend after the election to kind of, you know, recover. After a year of campaigning you really want — you really need that.”

The DHS secretary described her reaction in the spa hotel room that Sunday morning when she heard that her opponent would soon concede.

“I was in one of these really deep REM-type sleeps and it’s totally dark and the phone rings. And this gentleman’s voice is on the other end and it says, ‘Good morning, governor — this is your wake up call.’ And that’s how I knew he was getting ready to concede. And of course I had the very polite and official response: ‘Oh shit!’” she said with a laugh.

Napolitano explained that she was the first woman to ever succeed another woman as governor of a state and noted that western states have a “strong track record” of women in leadership.
